How long do lip fillers last? +
Typically, Hyaluronic Acid lip fillers last 6-12 months. This is dependent on the area treated and the type of filler used. Everyone’s timeline will look a bit different. Book a consultation with one of our professionals to find out more.
How do you take care of lip injections? +
Our professional staff will provide thorough after-care instructions, but it is important to always remember to ice the injected area, stay hydrated, and avoid strenuous exercise for a few days following the injections.
Can dermal fillers help me get rid of my cleft chin or straighten my nose?+
Yes! Dermal fillers are a safe alternative for altering a cleft chin and facial asymmetries.
How long do I have to wait in between appointments?+
You can come back in for filler any time you’re ready. We typically wait at least 2 weeks to re-treat the same area to ensure any bruising or swelling has subsided.
Can I wear makeup to my Filler appointment? +
Yes, if you feel more comfortable wearing makeup to your filler appointment, feel free to do so. However, the professional providing the treatment will remove the makeup from the treatment area and sanitize it. Afterward, it is recommended to not wear makeup for 2 hours.
Is drinking alcohol okay after my treatment?+
It is recommended that you do not drink any alcohol for three days prior to and after your appointment. Alcohol thins the blood which could increase bleeding and bruising. Please also avoid Advil, Motrin, Vitamin E, Gingko, and blood thinners if safe to do so, for 3 days leading up to your appointment.
What can I expect during my Filler appointment?+
Filler appointments usually take about 1-hour. We will thoroughly review your health history and personalized treatment goals. Then, we will apply an anesthetic cream to numb the treatment area for 20-30 minutes. Finally, we will cleanse, take photos, and use a small needle or cannula to inject the areas. Before you leave, we will review post-care instructions. You will always be provided with a number to contact should you have any questions or concerns.
How do you take care of your face after Hyaluronic Acid/dermal filler injections? +
Our nurse injector will provide thorough aftercare instructions, and a number where she can be reached if needed. It is important to ice the injected area, to minimize swelling and bruising, to stay hydrated, and avoid strenuous exercise for a few days following the injections. You must report any concerns or unusual pain and bruising to your injector. You cannot travel for one week post filler in the event there is a complication.
